Khus-Khus ka Halwa Recipe

           
Halwa made with poppy seeds is nutritious and also provides warmness and strength. Khus khus halwa is  normally prepared during winters & it is very good to new mother as it is nutritious.

            


Ingredients 

  •  150 grams Khus-khus  
  •  2 liters Milk 
  •  200 grams of sugar 
  •  200ml of Ghee
  •  Elaichi 
  •  Some nuts blanched peeled and chopped
  •  Saffron

How To Make

1.Wash and soak the khus-khus overnight.

2.Wash well and Grind to a fine paste.

3.Take a non stick pan.

4. Add ghee and khus-khus paste well and place on the flame stir fry this mixture on medium flame till a light till a golden brown and lets out an aroma.

5.Pour in the milk a little at a time till the khus-khus is well cooked and the milk is almost absorbed.

6. Add the Elaichies

7. Add the sugar 

8. keep stirring till it thickens 

9. Add the saffron and nuts

10. let it simmer for a few minutes till the ghee starts separating


 Now it's ready, Garnished with some more nuts and serve it.
